Swing Time! The 2018 Honda Classic

February brings with it one of our favorite times of year. No not Valentine’s Day…The Honda Classic! The signature golf tournament at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens continues to grow each year and provide endless entertain and action for golf aficionados from all over.

This week marks the beginning of this year’s tournament with practice rounds, the Women’s Leadership Forum and a Junior Clinic early in the week, among the many diverse events alongside the tour play. For 2018, we see the return of the world’s best PGA Tour players including defending champion Ricki Fowler, Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garciax and yes, even Tiger Woods.

The 72-hole stroke play on PGA National Resort & Spa’s famed Champion Course is a community favorite and has a greater goal for the tournament of supporting South Florida charities through the Children’s Healthcare Charity, Inc. Along with the excitement on the links, The Honda Classic offers tournament goers many public and private spots for action and fun throughout the tournament grounds. Some of the most notable and sure to not-be-missed hotspots include: the 18th Green Skysuites at Nicklaus Village, Moet & Chandon Champagne Lounge, Lilly Pulitzer Lounge, Michelob ULTRA club, Devonshire Wine Garden, The Cobra Puma Golf Village, Citi Cardmember Club and of course the renowned Goslings Bear Trap. The Bear Trap is known as the party place for the lively golf crowd. Located between the 16th green and 17th tee, this hospitality venue has unmatched views of the players up against the course’s infamous Bear Trap, as well as being the “place to see and be seen.”

But the exciting events and tournament highlights don’t end on the course. The week’s event highlights include: After play concerts in the Michelob ULTRA Terrace, Tire Kingdom Family Day which includes the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Kids Zone in the Honda Pavilion, The Tire Kingdom Fireworks Spectacular on Friday and Saturday night, Military Appreciation Day and more. This event is truly an experience like no other and is great for families to enjoy together.
